How the Conversion Works
When you upload an image, DocToPDF reads it using the browser's native image handling. It then uses jsPDF to create an A4 PDF page, automatically scaling and centering your image to fit the page with appropriate margins. Landscape images are placed on landscape A4 pages; portrait images on portrait A4 pages.
The output quality is excellent โ the image is rendered at the original resolution scaled to fit A4, so nothing is lost.
Tips for Best Results
- For scanned documents, use 300 DPI or higher when scanning for crisp text
- PNG files with transparency will have a white background in the PDF
- TIFF files from professional scanners convert beautifully
- SVG files are rendered as rasterized images in the PDF
